Kim Schmitt PA-C
Kim Schmitt is a certified Physician Assistant from Vermont. Kim attended UVM for her undergrad and completed her PA education at Northeastern University in Boston.
She has spent much of her career working with the underserved, whether in Haiti as a Peace Corps and CARE volunteer, doing patient education with migrant farm workers, working on the Navajo reservation for 12 years, teaching English to Bhutanese families or currently working with UVM AG extension seeing Vermont migrant and dairy workers remotely. After working in family medicine, being a jack of all trades on the Navajo reservation Kim returned to VT working in both the Emergency Room and Fanny Allen Urgent Care. She has since assisted in a grief group for parents who are grieving, completed an End-of-Life Doula program, runs a Death Cafe monthly and translating Haitian Creole for the courts when needed. In her off time, Kim has always fit in travel, whether hiking for months in France on the Compostelle, hiking the long trail or backpacking with her daughter in Europe. She is fluent in French and Haitian Creole.
Working part time allows Kim to keep active, playing outdoors with her husband whether in Shelburne or slope side in Bolton.
